what is irking me most is that i've asked him before if he had and he totally denied it.
I hear you anewme - and more than likely that is true, it is more common for a woman to forgive which doesn't rule out a man forgiving a woman completely.

I'll answer that one, M: Yes, I have, and he has . I NEVER thought I would cheat on the man that I love. But like my grandmother used to say "don't say what you won't do, say what you haven't done!" (sweet tee of the 'shame on me' & 'd*mn I hate true confessions' class)

while nobody is close to creating a treatment to end aging now, that doesn't mean.

Hey, Gill. I understand your point of view. I'm not into religion and I don't force my spiritual views on others (not since leaving the tower anyway).
My thought is that if something can be done to preserve a life already in progress then it's a good thing. You never know when it could be you, me or one of our loved ones in need of some new lifesaving medical technology. That being said, although I empathize with invertile women/men, I still really don't like the fact that people create more embryos than they intend to use, leaving a potential life hanging in the balance. It's an ethical dilemma for sure.

but when a woman has sex with another man the man is through with her ---even if he does not have the nerve to tell this to her face. Yes, he sees the unfairness of it all, but he cant help his feelings. He will never love that woman again. In fact he calls her a "bitch" in his heart. Unfair, but true.
This may or may not be true. You shouldn't make blanket assumptions about the opposite sex. People are individuals after all and some have more compassion than others, and larger hearts to forgive (not that it matters with this guy anyhow).

are we not killing other people, ie the unborn embryos to make extra pieces of ourselves when getting stem cells. Not good!
Stem cells can also be retrieved from the umbilical cord. I was shocked to find out that the hospital sold my placenta after I gave birth to my children . Part of it ended up in my hair conditioner (henna/placenta pack ).

If I left my job of 5 years to look for something comparable WITHOUT a degree I'd have a very hard time. I could be a purchasing clerk, but the pay would be about 55% less than what I'm making now, even though I have over 8 years of experience! I've been on haitas trying to figure out what I want to do. But I'm going back in the fall to finish the last 10 required classes for a degree in business management. I have 5 electives I can either test out of or take at community college. But come heller-highwater I got to get that piece of paper!

Crumpet - here is my two cents. Friendship to me is about trust and loyalty. His not telling you about his extracurricular activities AFTER you admitted YOURS and asked him again if he did the same is blatant dishonesty. Then to shun you adds insult to injury.
I'm picky about my friends but I also realize that real friends are hard to find so I don't discard them casually. Some questions to ask yourself; if you called on him for bail would he be there? If you were sick and needed a bowl of chicken soup would he bring it over? Would he ever betray your confidence? In other words, does this friendship have something to offer you besides someone to talk to and hang out with once in a while? If it doesn't, give him a piece of your mind and move on. If it does, give him a piece of your mind and move forward with the friendship. We all do stupid things sometimes. I'd give him just a teensy bit of credit for finally coming clean. That indicates that you mean something to him.
